Angelina Jolie has put her name (and face) to the fight against people trafficking, presenting a programme made by MTV entitled "Inhuman Traffic".
Inhuman Traffic is a fast-moving and compelling documentary that provides an introduction to the human rights tragedy of trafficking of women and girls for sexual exploitation in Europe. Featuring Anna, a woman from Romania who was trafficked by her neighbour to the Balkans where she was forced to be a prostitute for 2.5 years, and Tatiana, a victim who spent 6 months as a sex slave in Amsterdam after being sold by her boyfriend. Their harrowing stories are told along side other characters in the trafficking chain, including a potential victim, a young man who pays for sex, an anti-trafficking police officer, and prevention and assistance organisations. Inhuman Traffic gives an insight into the trafficking chain and how we can help break that chain.

Founded in 1999, the Angel Coalition was the first registered association of women's organizations in Russia, as well as the only Russian non-governmental organization working solely to combat human trafficking. Its two main objectives are the prevention of trafficking, and the repatriation and rehabilitation of trafficking victims. The Angel Coalition's prevention activities consist of lobbying, designing and implementing educational programs, advocacy and outreach. The Angel Coalition boasts a strong relationship with the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with many other like-minded organizations, both abroad and in Russia . In terms of aiding victims, the Angel Coalition is involved in the operation of shelters throughout Russia offering various forms of rehabilitative services, as well as a hotline serving as an immediate source of information to potential trafficking victims and trafficking victims.
